This is the Shimano STEPS E8000 11 Speed, Super Narrow, HYPERGLIDE, SIL-TECH, e-bike chain. For use with the SHIMANO STEPS E8000 group, the HG-X11 chain features SHIMANO's SIL-TEC surface treatment on the pin and roller link plate for improved durability on 11-speed drivetrains.
It is treated with SHIMANO’s SIL-TEC low friction chain surface treatment. Superior to simple coating, SIL-TEC is an advanced surface treatment on the pin and roller link plate for improved durability and system performance through the use of imbedded fluorine particles. SIL-TEC treated products run smoother and wear longer in all conditions.
